I was born in Silistre, Bulgaria, on 29.04.1973. I took up sports when I was eight by wrestling. Later on,I took place in Bulgaria National Team.Besides, I took an interest in sports such as, Weightlifting, judo, aikido, kung-fu. I achieved success in certain degrees in these branches.
I migrated to Turkey in 1989. The same year, I started Body Bulding in Masist Sport Center with encouragement of my trainer Yilmaz Dinkci.
I actively participated in all of the competitions until 1997.
I actively participated in sometimes my own efforts, othertimes with support of Yilmaz Dinkci,Ozer Baysaling and Ahmet Enunlu all of the competitions until 1997.
I represented Turkey successfuly in the competitions which were; domestic, international, junior, men's, mediterranean, Balkan, european, world junior and men's championships. I was rewarded with medals, cups, plates, testimonials and certificates by domestic and national federations.
In1993, I got "1. Degree Trainer Certificate"
In 1998, I opened my own center "Gurel Ozgur Sport and Healty Life Center"
In 1999, Iwas awarded the prize of " Trainer Of The Year" for having trained the greatest number of national sportsmen that year.
In 2000, I won Body Bulding Referee Licence.
The same year I got "2. Degree Trainer Certificate"
In 2002, I was assigned to Turkey Body Building Federation as a member of technical committee.
In 2003, During Europen Championship in Turkey, I was assigned by Turkey Body Bulding Federation as a responsible manager of The National Team.
In 2005, I was appointed as a member of "The National Team Trainers Board" by Ahmet Okumus,the president of our federation.
In 2006, I was appointed as the head of the technical committee and I am still at that post.
In 2006, I participated in the fitness courses organised by the federation as a trainer.
Between 1993 and 2005, I trained thousands of sportsmen,about 50 of whow later took part in The National Team.
Now my wife Sengul, a fitness trainer, and I are going on to train national sportsmen and the potential sportsmen National Team member of the future in "Gurel Ozgur Sport and Healty Life Center"
owned by us.
